iPhone wifi slow

I'm getting slower speeds over wifi than I am over 3G. I'm getting about 500 down over wifi and 1600 down over 3G. Is this normal?

My sppeds over wifi are fine using the testing app. I get around 8mbps, but Youtube and aol radio are very slow to stream. I have searched around for this problem and people are saying to use a wireless B only router, but I had no problems with this on my 1st gen Iphone. This has to be a 3g, 3gS problem.

Do you have Verizon Fios? Their router seems to have an issue with the 3GS. See the thread in the main iPhone forum. I'm getting great speeds but lousy performance.
