Unlocked 3G using Ultrasn0w. The iPhone would hang onto a signal while on a call just fine, and stay on full bars. but on standby, the iPhone would always intermittently go to No Service and sometimes even stay that way every 5 seconds after "catching" a signal.

What is up? Anyone have trouble? It is 3.0 firmware as well. It doesn't make sense that I can stay on a call and go through places with crappy signal and have it work, but not even stay connected to the tower on standby....AND ITS THE SAME LOCATION TOO!

Idk why ppl aren't responding. I made a similar post.

I had the same problem but I just re-inserted my SIM card and then reboot my phone just to be safe.

Have you had any problems with people hearing you on the other line when you make/receive calls?

My personal iPhone 3G is hanging onto the signal just fine, I am trying to fix a friend's, and others can hear me just fine. My friend's iPhone has the problem, when you hang up, the signal would go away in a matter of seconds, without you even walking around.
