I have a 2G 2.2.1 unlocked (Cydia/Quickpwn) iPhone that I attempted to upgrade to 3.0. I had purchased unlock software from autoiphoneunlocker.com and followed their instructions exactly. Shortly after I did, the phone was no longer recognized by iTunes and would not accept a charge with either the USB from MacBook or wall charger. Phone is now dead except it will still connect to internet and download emails using wireless network. I have tried a variety of suggested hard restore options and none have worked. Any suggestions?

BTW, Auto Phone Unlocker has totally failed to support me in this problem and now will not reply to my emails. I would consider them an unreliable resource.

Have you tried doing a DFU mode restore (i'm guessing you have.) Not sure why you would purchase an unlock software when bootneuter for the 2g is free :/

I cannot do a DFU Restore, or at least I can't with the instructions I have followed. I purchased the Auto Phone Unlocker as I thought I needed it for 3.0
Now I have no phone at all. Any ideas?

im almost in the same boat as you have you tried plugging into a car dock? got mine to charge that way, but still not detectable.

Unbelievable! This morning, I got up and had a reply, finally, from Auto Phone Unlocker. I followed their instructions for a DFU restore and nothing happened. NOTHING! But then, for the first time in days, I had a "lightning bolt" signifying that the phone was charging. I then looked at iTunes and there it was. iTunes recognized the phone. I haven't been able to get mobile me to sync yet, but things are looking up. But I still have no idea what happened on either end.
