My grandsons phone (iphone 3G) got wet & damaged the back case. I took it in to a repair shop & he got it working & put in a new battery & replaced the back case. The phone works, but will not charge the battery, but will charge in a different phone. I 'am told it is a problem in the logic board. The phone is about 6 months old & I don't know if Rogers will fix it now???
Any suggestions?

If it got wet and damaged, there's little that can be guaranteed. If they do have to replace the logic board, I'm guessing that you might be getting close to the cost of a new phone. I'm not sure how much the phone companies scam you for a new phone without a new contract in your area, but that may be your best option if the numbers work-out.

How are you testing that the battery charges in another phone? Is the repair guy inserting it into another iPhone for you to test it?

They changed the back cover, put in a new battery & cleaned up all the contacts. All the functions of the phone work but it just drains the battery. When you plug it in it shows it is charging but does not. He removed the battery & put it in a different ipone & it did take a charge. He thinks ther is something wrong in the logic board & does not have a used one.
