Greetings,

This is a strange issue I am having. Our hospital has free wifi with a applet with terms you agree to before using the wifi. Mother in hospital so frequent visits..phone connects fine at first; after about 3 days phone refuses to connect to wifi. 8+ with latest update. Funny thing is my ipad which is probably 2 updates behind will connect fine at least for now. I have renewed lease in the wifi section; hard resets, soft resets. I don't understand why the phone doesn't connect but the ipad does.

**Note it stopped working before I updated to the latest Ios update; so I don't think that's the issue.

Thank you for your help in adavance.

I don't know if this is helpful, but this worked at my local hospital when I had a similar problem.

On first logging in to their free wi-fi, I went through a login portal page, and was promptly given access to their free public wi-fi. On subsequent visits, I was not sent to the login portal, and it appeared I was connected to their wi-fi. The only problem was, I had no Internet connectivity. Forgetting the network, etc. didn't fix it.

What did fix it was bookmarking the hospital's login portal web page, and manually going to that page on Mobile Safari.

I re-entered the login info (which, IIRC, was simply clicking an "I agree" button), and then had full Internet access again.

Try going into the messenger app and pull down above the recent contacts. You should see a connect message. Wait for the connect. This work for me.
