What’s the verdict, which do you prefer? I’m very used to plug in cables. I tried a wireless disk at a friend’s and it worked well. I’m thinking about getting one. Any particular brand or strength like 10w? I’ve seen them priced from $11 to $60. What do you think about them? Thanks!

Tried wireless but I still prefer wired. I feel like the heat generated from a wireless charger isn’t good for the battery on iPhones.

I've been using wireless almost exclusively on my iPhone 8 for the past 5 months. The phone does get a it warm but it's not bad at all and battery health is still 100% per iOS 13.5.1.

Is it percieved as a great convenience to lay your phone down on a charging platter than plugging it in? I realize there is some level of convenience but it’s debatable how much. :)

The only convenience is not having to plug the phone in so if you want to use it you just pick it up and go. I suppose it saves some wear and tear on the charging port too..

Sounds like you don't really want one then. /Thread

I have wireless chargers at home, at the office and in the car. It is extremely convenient to just lay down the phone on a surface and it starts charging. OTOH, If you have to carry the charger with you, the cable is just more convenient.

All my wireless chargers are cheap third party ones, mainly from Anker.
