iphone with cassette adapter, cellphone buzzing!

Hey,


i have to use a cassette adapter to listen to my iphone while in my car.

i get that old cell phone buzzing intermittently when doing this. is there any way to avoid it?

you know the sound... zzz-zzz-zzz-zzz ...... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ..

Try to move your phone further away from any nearby speakers. GSM phones do this due to a constant signal they put out.

actaully ALL cells make that weird noise, and it wont matter if its close or far away when you are inside a car, my phone will make all the speakers buzz no matter where it is. my RCA cables are all sheilded twisted pair.

however, the closer you are to the speaker WIRES the louder the buzz, not necessarily the speaker itself.

I think you meant to say all GSM phones do this. My CDMA phones never made a buzz noise.

Try putting your iPhone into airplane mode. This will disable your wi-fi and your cell connection, however, doing so should eliminate the buzzing. You can switch your iPhone into airplane mode by tapping settings on the home screen, and flipping the appropriate switch to on.

I have the same problem. I tried keeping it away from the speakers but that only slightly worked. The only thing I have found to work is to keep the phone in between my legs while I drive. It seems to block the signal, but if I still hear the buzz I can cover the phone with my hand and that stops it.

Maybe this just works for me and maybe you would rather not drive around with it between your legs. But the buzzing has stopped for me

Frankly, I don't know. I haven't heard buzzing from mine yet.. certainly have from my mini's speakers though, but very faint and only while edge is active (I love to IRC..sigh).

edit: my post didn't sound as clear as I'd like it to...basically, other than physical separation and distance, there really isn't much you can do. Sorry
