Hi!

I am attempting to setup my iPhone to get my mail from the exchange server but am having problems. I set it up correctly using the following directions...

http://www.iphonebuzz.com/how-to-setup-exchange-on-iphone-2-beta-3-152196.php

I know that it is somewhat working because if I put something in wrong, it gives an error message, such as invalid servername or something like that.

However, when I set it up correctly, everything goes through but it gives me the following message...

configured for sync (null)

Right after I save the configuration. If I go into the mail portion, I can see the Inbox, which I belive is there just as default. No mail is downloaded to the phone and I get an error message when I send a message.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the exchange server logs, so I don't know what's going on. Is there a 'debug' function for the mail on the iPhone? :-/ I also know that ActiveSync is setup and working correctly because I used a Windows Mobile 6 VM and it worked great downloading and sending mail. But for some reason, I'm just having problems trying to connect to it on the iPhone....and I really wished that it would work because I hate carrying around a blackberry...

Thanks!

I'm having a similar problem.

I know things are somewhat working because it will download my Exchange server folder list, but every folder shows up empty. When I click the refresh icon it updates the last checked time and does not give me any error messages. No mail is displayed.

I am able to send email.

I found this on Apple's site. Didn't work for me, but maybe for you?

Exchange is running as Backend server

I found that since we have a front end server and other servers at work that by editing our DNS to have a A record of something like iphone.maildomain.co.uk (point ot the front end servers IP) then pointing my IPhone to that for the exchange mailserver was able to get Active Sync working, the process was super quick as well.

Hope that this helps you all
