My dad currently has a line with a regular phone (v3 razr)...
i wanna add a 2nd line to it and have that line be an iphone line.
so if possible im going to convert the account to a family plan and add a 2nd line for 29.99 xtra per month...

MY QUESTION:
Can this be done via itunes activation.... or will i have to do this in store with an ATT rep?

thanks in advance mac fans....

everything can be done through iTunes. If you watch the activation video, one of the options is for "Adding an additional iPhone line to your current plan"

something tells me that i should add my line before friday and get a free regular phone and then sell that phone.....theyre gonna give me an iphone no matter what anyways since it sells for full price...

if i am starting a family plan with a iphone(me) and the second line would be a blackjack(gf) how would i go about doing this. since i am gonna be buying both of these phones at the same time.

Correct me if I'm wrong but won't they add 2 years onto your existing contract when you buy an iPhone? Thus getting a "free" phone for signing up for a contract and then 2 days later signing up for another 2 year contract would give you a 4 year contract?

I was told that an iPhone contract just resets your current contract to two years.

a lot of peopole dont know, but you dont have to wait for contracts to run out for free upgrades, or to change your contract. As long as your not leaving the company your not going to get charged anything.

My last few phones have been in the middle of contracts, and so will the iphone.

to rephrase my initial question on this thread.
Can i change my plan from an individual talk plan to a family plan with one regular line and one iphone line ALL on itunes???
i know it gives you the option to add a line, but is that only for plan that are already using shared minutes???
