Hi, I found this picture in the "Post your phone" topic. The menu on the iPhone appears to be working but if you look at the top it says "No SIM." Am I missing something here? Are you able to use the iPhone's non phone features without a SIM? Thanks.

Mine did this as well when I received my replacement iPhone. Here's the deal though, nothing synced when it said no SIM, and my computer didn't even show that it was mounted when this button was up. Just my personal experience but I wasn't able to load any content when it said this.

Yes, you it will work without the card in it or the tray for that matter.
I faux activated mine with my husband's sim card then gave it back to him. At that time, I checked both phones and both ran everything including Youtube without the SIMs. No phones though of course. :)
I'm using mine as a Wifi device till I figure out which phone plan I want to run with.
