I got to thinking, I know the sling box allows your tv to be sent to a mobile phone, laptop, etc... but do you think it will work with the iphone? I know we do not know the details about the 3rd party support and all, but but just assuming that 3rd party support will be allowed as I expect, do you think it can work? maybe the even tivo style it on the go?

Not over EDGE speeds on AT&T but using the WIFI it is possible.

iPhone - The $600 dollar toilet TV! All I know is that as the next few months go by, the days getting slower and slower...

now, is there any possibility that the iphone could record those shows on the go? it has a built in hard drive right? what are the technical possibilities preventing this from happening?

What??? Record TV? Why? It only has a 4 or 8GB drive... thats at best about 10 hours of TV (at a pretty low res) and your battery would surely run out before that.

What you would want to do is use your Mac to record TV shows and then use iTunes to put them on your iPhone.

Yea, but sometimes youll be watching something and maybe want to just record it so when you are away from a singal, I know it may not be always, but I would for one be willing to pay for a feature like that. the abity to just on the go grab my movies and music whatnot.
