This is a simple question, does anyone else have a problem with their iPod or iPhone NOT auto-capitalizing the name "Heather?" I've tried everything. I've been into notes and typed Heather over and over again erasing the lower case "h" and capitalizing it. I've googled search Heather. I even have a contact named Heather and the iPhone still refuses to auto-capitalize it whenever I type it into a text message or e-mail. Does anyone happen to have a simple solution to this problem?

Dumping Heather seems to be the simplest solution. ;)

Thanks, worked for me

I would assume this is because heather is not just a name, but a type of plant too, and the dictionary definition is not capitalised.

It's also a color. So since it doesn't know which version of the word you're using, it just doesn't capitalize it. Doubt there's a solution, because, honestly, it isn't a problem. Just one of the many english language quirks.
