Hello

My phone (6+) has not been charging properly due to cable not being put in right (ill explain why later)

So, last night, I plugged my phone in to charge, it had very little battery. I went to sleep and work up with the power cable out of the phone and my phone dead. I plugged it back in, and nothing, it just fell out again.

I tried to charge it in a different place using a different cable thinking the cable was broken or something, and found that the other cable (new) did the same thing, and wouldn't charge when held.

I googled and googled and found that my phone may have lint and dust, so I cleaned it and got a lot of lint and dust out of the phone charging slot. My cable almost fitted in the slot perfectly, but not quite, After hours of charging and nothing, I decided to give it another clean out.

After this clean out I got even more lint and dust out, its now on charge for the past hour and still won't boot up.

Can you please give me advise on how to get it booted and running again?

Thank you for your help and replies

So what do I do now, its still not charging?
Have you tried doing the hard restart while its plugged in? Are you sure you got alllll the lint out? That stuff is tricky. Also your cord, are you sure that is working properly? Do you have a spare you can use? And check the outlet.

I have tried and tried to get more lint out but none will come so I think its empty now.

I have used my sisters and mums chargers and plugs, theirs work, but mine does not still

I have tied to do the hard restart, but there is no power in the battery to do anything as far as I can tell, as no icon comes up saying it needs to be charged or is charging etc. ITs just a black screen
