So I went camping over the weekend and let my battery go dead for two days. when i got back home I tried to plug it in and after an hour it still said that the battery was dead and would not power up! I pluged the USB connector to the computer and to my PS3 but nothing seems to work even thought the light on the USB Hub comes on to indicate that it is powered. I tried to restart it by holding the home and on/off button on at the same time. and i even tried restarting my computer while the Iphone was plugged in. What else can I do? what could possibly be wrong???? The Iphone was acting up before i left for camping, it didnt want to start up but restarting it fixed the problem.

the phone is not under warranty its the 3G that i bought off a friend. and I dont want to give in to apples Nazi ways anyways. what can i do to fix it myself?

Have you tried using different connector cables...

And was the iPhone drenched in water somehow??

What do you mean by 'acting up' before the trip? Was it an OS issue like hang ups and stuck apps or something else?

How is it not under warranty still? The 3G was released last July, so nobody's iPhone 3G will be out of warranty yet. Reselling it doesn't void the warranty, if anything it's just more then likely still in your friend's name - if so just take your friend with you to the store and have them talk to a Genius.

by "acting up" I meant it didnt even want to turn on until I reset it and then it came on again.
