hello

I am using iPhone 8 plus

So I got a new Bluetooth speaker yesterday, I connected straight away.
Today I went to pair and it wouldn’t connect, so I do the normal forget device and try to pair from fresh.
It finds my speaker, but won’t pair, not sure why, so I try another iOS device and it pairs.

I have tried all options on my phone, I have managed to connect to other Bluetooth devices. No idea what to try, can anyone suggest anything else?

I have tried resetting network settings, Turing phone off and on, tried hard restart, tried Bluetooth on/off, and putting it in airplane mode

Thank you

See if there is a way to clear the pairing list on the speaker itself and then put the speaker back in pairing mode and start fresh.

I have put a pin in the reset button, I don’t feel a button there.

This is the speaker, no model number show.

EC Technology Bluetooth 4.1 Speaker, Portable Wireless Speakers With 12 Hrs Play Time, Enhanced Bass Stereo Sound, Built-in Mic https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071LDSRRD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Vj3SCb8FET29T

There is a manual, but only one page in English and it says how to pair, which works on my iPad, my mums iPad, my mums iPhone even when resetting the speaker, it connects to those fine just not my iPhone.

So you did get the speaker to reset? If so and that didn’t help, I would try “forgetting” the speaker on all devices you’ve had it paired with. Try pairing it again with your phone. If that doesn’t work, try pairing it with your iPad. If that does work, then the next thing I would do is reset all settings on your phone since you’ve tried everything else already.

Done all this and still won’t pair.

I can connect to all my other Bluetooth devices from my phone.

I’m not sure what else to do unfortunately. It looks like your phone is the problem, but I’m not convinced it really is since you can pair other Bluetooth devices to it. Last resort is to restore the phone or exchange the speaker as crazy as that sounds since other devices pair to the speaker just fine, but if a new speaker pairs, at least that will solve the problem. You can also call Apple from a different phone and they can run a remote diagnostic on your phone to see if anything’s going on with it. Good luck and please update the thread with anything you find out.
