iphone won't SEND email on mobileme accou

Hi

Hi,

My iPhone won't SEND e-mail from the mobile-me account. It receives them just fine.

And it sends/receives on my g-mail account.

I note on the advanced settings (settings>mail>accounts>MobileMe>account Info the user name says username@mac.com not @me.com and I never had a .mac account, just a new Mobile Me.

I can change the username but not the @mac suffix from the settings

The outgoing server appears correct at smpt.me.com

Is this the problem or is it something else?

i had that happen once when i used itunes to sync my account to my phone...

delete the account and recreate it; worked for me

that is happening to me right now..

i have a mobileme account and i cant send emails from my iphone..

i get this error "Cannot send mail the connection to the outgoing server "smtp.me"failed"

how do i fix this problem? its becoming annoying..
