Iphone wont start

i just upgraded from jail broken 1.1.1 to jailbroken 1.1.2, i ran anysim and my iphone restarted twice and now is stuck on the star screen(apple with non moving circle) the computer registers it. It ha been in this state for about 25 mins. PLEASE HELP!!!

Have you tried holding down the home button and the on/off switch for about 30 seconds?

yes, ive rebooted but ive never gotten past that screen

Are you able to restore the iPhone using iTunes? And does that fix it?

if i restore it will erase everything and then i will be permanetly screwed

It will erase everything on the iPhone, but then put everything back on it, however unless you sync your contacts with address book they will be lost.

i did that my iphone is stuck in emergency mode, iphone does not recongnize it and i cant do anything, what now?
