So this has happened to me 3 times now within the last two days. I go reach in my pocket to use my iphone and notice that it is powered off. I try to press the power button to turn it on, but nothing happens. So my first guess is that it is out of power so I plug it in to the charger but the phone doesn't do anything. No buzz, beep or power icon on the screen. I do a reset (power button plus home button) and finally the apple logo shows up and the phone is back in line.

The second time this happened, the phone turned on after the fourth or fifth reset attempt. The third time this happened (today), it wont reset. All three times, I have at least 50% battery. So now I have an appointment with a mac genius.

Has this happened to anyone? Is there anything else I could try?

My iphone has been locking up and acting weird. I posted about the earpiece not working anymore. Just got off the phone with iphone support and need to do a reset on it. So I'll try that when I get home.

Similar roblems

My slide to unlock button has not been working but only for a minute or two after a sync/charge. It kicks in after a few minutes rest and then is fine. This has been happening only since the update. Even after a restore & numerous resets. Sigh...

Earpiece just went out for me too. Here's the fix. Put in your headphones and make a call, then take out the headphones.

Happened to me with an adapter for other headphones and a weird combination of calls. A restart didn't fix it for me.

Someone should tag that as a workaround for anyone who's earpiece stops working. It fixed mine in 3 seconds.
