Hey guys,

I have the new 3.1.2 update on my 3gs which I got a few months ago. I used RYP(Rock your phone) to install Winterboard thinking it would work. It asked to reboot my phone so I did, and now every time I try to turn it on it goes to the apple icon for approx 30 secs then the screen goes black. I have tried multiple times already. And better yet, my iTunes won't recognize my iPhone so I can't get it to DFU mode...:(

Any help is appreciated!

I had this same thing happen except the Apple logo lingered for around 5 minutes before going black and cycling again. Here's what worked for me:

Power off your phone then plug it into your computer. It should power it on and the Apple logo will appear. As soon as that happens push and hold both power and home. Don't let go until something happens. I don't remember exactly how long it took but it was definitely longer than it should have been (I'd say around three minutes).
