i have an iPhone 4 that i recently jail broke with redsn0w. Everything worked great for the first day until i went to reset it because i had installed winterboard. Before i continue i would also like to make it clear that i reset it about four times previously without any problems. Now the phone will not go into DMU mode after countless times of trying with a plethora of different programs, and when i start it normally it will just show the apple logo and do nothing. My computer won't recognize it and i can't even get it into restore mode. Please help me i need the phone and am really in trouble if it doesn't work.

Is it a "tethered jailbreak"?

With a tethered jailbreak you can "respring" as much as you want but "resetting" you'll need to connect to redsnow and boot tethered.

I've noticed only a few make it reset that I use. Winterboard, bitesms and sbsettings.

Not sure what iOS you are jb with. 4.3.5, 5.0? Heres a guide for booting tethered. Think all you need to do is step 4b.

Booting into Tethered-Jailbreak Mode:
Step 4: Once you’ve installed Cydia, you will need to boot the device into a tethered jailbroken state. Go into DFU mode, and then in “Extras”, opt for “Just Boot”. Redsn0w will subsequently boot your device as tethered. Note: Due to the nature of this jailbreak, you will have to repeat this booting sequence every time you wish to reboot your device.

Also a new Redsnow .9.9b8 is out...
