iPhone X 256GB Lag

I know it’s probably time to upgrade and I more than likely will in the next iteration but I need to get there before throwing this phone out the window.

Not sure what is causing this but everything just seems laggy. Even trying to open up this web page is making my Spotify stutter a bit.

- About 50% of capacity is available.
- Battery is relatively new and 100% health.
- Software is 15.4.1

Any ideas on actions I might be able to take? I’ve tried everything I can think of short of just wiping the whole thing and starting fresh. Would rather avoid that unless it’s known to be a fix for this specific issue. Thanks!

Try updating to 15.5

My X is on 15.5 and performance is excellent.. You might trying a restore as new phone and don't use your backup

***Sep 2022 UPDATE for a JUN 2022 POST***

Lag is back again and more powerful than ever. I'm upgrading to the 14 Pro but might pass this on to someone else and if not it is more valuable to me as a backup vs. the $100 trade in offer. Would a full system restore to factory more than likely get rid of anything that might be bogging this thing down? I think this is basically what BugeyeSTI offered above but just want to be sure.
