For those who plan on buying the new iPhone, which capacity will you opt?

Why would you prefer the 256 over the 64?

I will be going for the 64GB.

I have a 128GB phone (they only had the 128GB in Red) and I'm currently using 28GB. I offload everything to the cloud and clean from my phone quite often; stream where I can etc.

I'm still unsure about if I will go for the X cause I've preordered an 8 Plus which is a 256GB model but trying to decide whether to cancel or not. Either way, I currently use about 40GB on my 128GB iPhone 7 although 8GB is downloaded music which I rarely listen to aside from traveling longish distances, so could delete that and then only be using about 32GB. This makes me think 64GB on the X since it's expensive enough and I'd rather not pay any more than ~ £56 per month for the X. And with the 50% reduction in storage needed for photos and videos I reckon I'd manage aside from maybe recording 4K 60fps video. Don't tend to take many videos though.

I'll get the 256GB. My 128GB iPhone 7 plus is completely full. As crazy as it sounds to some, I would've gladly bought the 512GB option. I know with that storage I wouldn't have to worry at all about filling it up.

Photos & Videos are always the biggest contributors to storage use on my iPhone. Number 2 is usually iMessage (mostly attachments).

Between iCloud Photo Library, HEVC/HEIF formats, and iMessage Sync (coming soon), I'm comfortable going with 64GB.

256GB, but just because there is no 128GB option, which would have been enough. (I have about 70GB on the device now.)

256gb no question. Currently got 106gb of 256gb left. And with at least 2 overseas trips within the next year where I'll take lots of pics & videos, I'll probably be hoping for bigger storage options this time next year.

I'm not sure, my 128gb model is nearly full, but I don't need the movies I have on it and my 32 bit apps (And I have a lot, I have a 128gb ipad mini that I'm not updating for all my apps) are going to save a ton of space on ios11...

I opted for 256GB, even though I have a iPhone plus 128 GB (with 35 GB left). I may start shooting some 4K video and want to make sure I have enough storage. I also like to keep my Seinfeld Series on the phone, as well as King of Queens, and music and pictures. I don't want to have to worry about space all the time.

256. It will be massive overkill for me but based on my current usage and predicting future usage 64GB might get full if I keep the phone for as long as I intend to. 128 probably would have been perfect, but when you think about it, given how much the phone already costs, the price difference that gets you 4 times the storage actually seems reasonable.

The one with faster shipment

I think the reason there are only 64GB and 256GB versions is that Apple figured that people would go for the more expensive option. I suspect that the 65GB iPhone X will be less popular and maybe ship more quickly, but it's all relative—both will probably be very hard to get before 2018.
