A thought occurred to me while watching the iPhone X video, when they show the display it looks like it folds onto itself inside the phone. This makes me wonder if it will have 3D touch. (I know many people won't care but I have taught myself to use it and once i grew accustomed to it I became very fond of it.)

(.36 sec. into the film you see the screen folding https://www.apple.com/iphone-x/ )

I don’t have a setting for 3D Touch? I’m running iOS 11.1 (15B93) on the iPhone X. Force Touch/3D Touch works while pressing on app icons but doesn’t when wanting to move the cursor.

I don’t even have this option within settings: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205056

3D touch not working on my iPhone X. When I forcefully press an icon it begins to wiggle like when deleting an icon. I've reset the phone, erased contents and reinstalled, but still doesn't work. I'm going to have to make a trip to the Genius Bar. Is this happening to anyone else?

Are you sure you are pressing down and not just touching? Have you checked 3D Touch options in the accessibility section of general settings (you can change some options there and test it out too)?

Yes, I have the same problem. Have tried resetting, restoring, etc. Nothing worked.

I booked a Genius appointment today for this - they swapped for a replacement device. The new one works without issue.

3D touch works fine on my X!

Absolutely love this phone. It looks like despite iOS 11.1 bringing back the 3D touch app switcher for 3D touch devices, it is not enabled for the X, which is unfortunate but makes sense. The other gestures sort of replace it but I miss it still!

Yep did all of that and it’s not working. Going to Apple Store tomorrow

Anyone having an issue with this? Running for a week or so on 11.2 3D Touch stopped working. This is alarming for a thousand dollar phone.

Tried hard reset, not going to bother with the replacement yet. Hoping it's an iOS issue! This is b0ll0cks...

Lots are reporting iOS 11.2 messed up their 3D Touch.

Interesting. Forums like these would usually see a fair bit of that kind of thing being talked about, like let's say the auto-focus issue that some are having with iPhone 8 and X, but this doesn't really seem to come up that much here in comparison.
