I have been out of the iPhone loop awhile, currently on the Pixel 2 XL, and have an upgrade due, and can get the iPhone X for cheap, but I would only get one if it can be Jailbreaked.

Can a brand new iPhone X be JB ? Not sure what version iOS they ship with in the box ? And which iOS versions are JB compatible ? And is the current JB untethered ?

Thanks

Oh 11.1.2, that sounds old and doubtful phones even ship with that ?

What happened to the good old days of Jailbreaking ? Full untethered on the latest firmware. I thought the iPhone X would have brought back a ton of development.

Oh well, Android I stay.

It's from iOS becoming a lot more secure over the years and JB developers are having a hard time making newer JB's for iOS 11. (this is my guess)

What is the benefit anymore to jailbreak?

Most of those features are native now.

I use iBlacklist to actually block calls. Unlike iOS, iBlacklist actually prevents the call from even completing. iOS simply sends a blocked caller to voicemail where the message ends up in a blocked messages folder in visual voicemail. There was a time when I got a new phone number and it was previously owned by a hooker. I started getting all her calls immediately asking if certain amounts of cash were ok and what time she could meet up with the caller. I used iBlacklist to immediately send them a text telling them this was a new number for me and whoever they were looking for no longer owned the number. The calls and texts stopped in a week.

I use 3G Unrestrictor to get around Apple stupid download restriction if it is over 200MB.

I use NoPromosTwitter to block all the ads in Twitter and get rid of the in case you missed it sections. I use No Promos Appstore to get rid of the ads in the app store.

I use AppAdmin to use older versions of apps that still include useful features that Apple doesn't allow such as with Adguard and it's ability to block ads in apps using a VPN.

I use Instagram ++ to be able to download any picture or video posted by anyone.

I use NoMoreStories to get rid of FaceBook stories.

I also use LocationFaker. It can make me appear as if I am anywhere in the world using FaceBook, Twitter or any app that wants to use my location. I've had people convinced I was visiting Russia.

I would absolutely love to jailbreak if only to enable input during animations or cancel them altogether.

My iPhone blocks almost every follow-up input unless I stop and wait a moment between each. Sad in 2018 this is the state of things.

Jailbreaking gives you the ability to install any software you want. Yes a lot of jailbreak tweaks in the past became part of the OS but new software that does different things can, will, and has came into existence.

Lol why do people keep saying this every year for the last 5 years? I have like 20 ESSENTIAL jailbreak tweaks installed right now and im barely scratching the surface.
