Hi ,

I just bought an Iphone X and I have a problem with charging . With included adaptor or even Ipad 12w charger it wont charge past 90% . If I restart the phone is showing 92% and also blocks there . I already reset from iTunes and let the battery discharge until phone turns off . No change . What can I do ?

When you did a factory restore using iTunes, did you backup and restore or did you set up as a new iPhone? If you did the backup and restore option, the issue will remain if it were a *software* issue, because the bug will just transfer over with the backup. Make sure to select "set up as new iPhone" and do NOT put the old back up on it. If the issue remains after doing this, take it to the Apple Store for sure.

I use an iPhone 7 which was brought about 7 months ago everything was fine but recently I've been encountering a huge issue with the battery which only last for about 3 hrs (4 hrs at top) without a harsh use. I only have few app installed and mainly use the iPhone for calling regardless I'll have to charge it multiple times a day to keep it on. I've also recently upgraded from iOS 10 to iOS 11.3 I am not sure if it was the update which let the issue happen. Can anyone please help me fix it?

If possible, make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar. If you don't have a store close by, call Apple. Sounds like a possible hardware problem.

I suggest you make your own thread on this issue in order to receive help. Can you put screen shots of the battery setting (like which apps use how much charge) and also if possible run a test using coconut battery (mac application) and let us know the capacity level remaining on the iPhone.

Which power adapter are you using? Does the phone get warm during charging? Will a hard reset get it to finish charging?

Yes , exactly , it gets warm during charging either with 5w or with 12W ipad charger , if i shut it down or reboot the percentage go up

Some of the people that reported this with new phones saw an improvement after updating iOS. Are you running the latest?

umm typo?

If the issue is a hardware issue (charging and/or maintaining a charge) doesn't matter what you do - backup/restore, charge lightning cable/charging block or wireless charging the issue will remain: bug is in the chip/hardware components which need to be replaced. I'm thinking you meant to top "if it were a software issue .. " ;)
