Phone: iPhone X - iOS 11.1
Headset: Jabra Stealth or Jaybird X3
Car: Subaru WRX 2017
This issue does not occur with an iPhone 6 running iOS 11.1.
When I place a call with both car and headset connected to the iPhone X via Bluetooth, the call audio on the headset is distorted and drops out. It sounds like packet loss. When the call audio is routed through the car it is fine. If I disconnect the car's Bluetooth from the iPhone then the headset call audio is fine.
Seems that the new Bluetooth 5.0 stack on the iPhone X has issues. Possibly having issues sending call status to the car while sending audio to the headset.
In case you're wondering:
Why do I use a headset when my car has Bluetooth? The microphone in the car is terrible.
