Hello everyone,

My siblings iPhone X randomly became disabled (she uses faceID and didn't even get any passcode attempts in), and it is stuck on "iPhone Disabled - Connect to iTunes", but the problem is the device has never synced with iTunes and therefore does not trust any computers, so what happens when i connect to a computer? It asks for access from the device, which i cannot give because it is disabled.

I went into recovery and did an update to see if that would allow me in, it successfully updated, back to the same screen, but now with just a black background. I had told them to backup proactively but none have been made, is there any possible way to get back into the phone without erasing irreplaceable pictures or is the damage done?

I really don't understand why the hell it would ask to connect to iTunes when it damn well knows that is impossible...

Take it to the nearest Apple Store. I would not risk losing everything on your phone. Be sure to make an appointment with Genius Bar first. Good luck!

I had the issue escalated to the engineering team at apple through a senior advisor, but im still looking for solutions, waiting on their response for now.
