On cloud 9 atm! Got an email from the Apple Dubai Marketing team asking me to come into their offices for a hands on demo with the new iPhone X.

First impressions - very impressed. Hardware feels premium in the hand. The attention to detail makes this feel like a piece of jewellery. Face ID works really well. Home button (lack of) needs some getting used to. Let me know if you'd like to me share any more.

Hey man aren’t you on Rolex Forums too? Loved the video you posted when you got the BLNR. BTW been loving my BLNR since I got it March 2017.

Ok sir! I’ve tested it in bright Dubai sunshine and in pitch black. Perfoms really well actually in both.

The X supposedly has exclusive live wallpapers (similar to the static wallpaper in the promo shots that move for 3 seconds), dynamic wallpapers (black background with floating bubbles), and static wallpapers (the ones on the promo photos and box lids.

With the swipe-up gesture to go home, do you have to start the swipe off-screen or can you swipe up starting with your finger on the screen (hope that's making sense) - I'm wondering how well this gesture will work with a case on. TIA

In the video, he swiped up a little above the white bar at the bottom and it still opened. There was more than enough room for there to be a lip of a case so I don't see this being a problem. I was curious about the same thing.

I would like to see this too. Do you still have to press on the screen for it to move? That’s what I’m really curious about

Unfortunately you do. I had hoped they'd activate when looking at the screen
 
Finally some space grey action! Crazy how pretty much all the review units have been silver. Looks so clean in SG. I wonder how durable the SG band is. Would be awesome if it was anywhere close to the SB watch coating.
