I picked up my iPhone X yesterday, and love it. In anticipation, I ordered several Anker wireless charging pads to place around the house and at work. I’ve been strictly iPhone since the original, so this is my first experience with wireless charging. I’m pretty pleased with its performance so far, but I have a question regarding the charging frequency. From a battery longevity perspective, is it okay for me to place the phone on a charging pad every time I set it down? Or should I only set it on a pad if I intend to let it charge for a while? There’s been times I get a message, pick it up, reply, then set it back down on the pad. I just want to make sure this behavior won’t harm the battery.

Nope feel free to charge whenever. Apple has probably tested your situation numerous times. The Batteries can be charged as frequently as possible.
