I got an iPhone X for xmas and I just noticed a speck of dust in my portrait photos. the speck wasn’t in any of my old pics, only ones from today. that really sucks, now I have to take to apple store to repair. any possible way to fix? or at least find out how it got in there? I know those lenses are sealed, so I don’t see how a speck could get so far in. I have wiped it with a microfiber cloth many times.

If it is in fact dust, it’s possible it got in there during manufacturing. It happens. Taking a trip to the Apple store is your best bet since you just got the phone.

Just an FYI, As of last year, Apple genius technicians are trained to disassemble the phone, where they can clean behind the camera lens cover and remove any dust, and then reseal the phone. Many members have the same dust issue and had their phones cleaned/returned in the same day.
