Okay, there are only 2 things I hate about the iPhone X and I am pretty sure there is an option to fix them but I can't find it.

1. the line at the bottom of the apps that indicates if I swipe up it goes back to my home. I now know how to swipe so I want to get rid of that line. How?

2. when FaceID unlocks my phone it only unlocks, I want it to go straight to my home screen all in one movement. Is that possible?

Otherwise, I love my phone. Even the notch isn't noticeable.

Umm not sure about number 1, but number 2 isn’t possible. You have to unlock with Face ID to show your notifications. Then an additional swipe up unlocks the phone.

The line cant disappear yet apple doesn’t allow it as it a mini bar for you to swipe up on like a track pad, so for now you cant get rid of it but apps may be able to hide it in future updates. And as mike said about you have to swipe up after using FACE Id but apple may update that in future iOS updates

I believe the Line will stay around for us until a new iteration or two (or way-in-the-future software update). Until we all know the gesture, we are like beta user of these new gestures.
