I got the iPhone X on the first day it came out and was so excited. So far it seems to work well EXCEPT I occasionally have home screen issues, where I'll turn on the screen and it'll look really strange/jumbled up/frozen, and there'll be "ghost" notifications and the text is all on top of on another, like these screenshots:

It's still happening, except now I notice a few other flaws. It's always the unlocked home screen. It's a great phone but I want a PERFECT phone for $1,350! Anyone else experiencing these issues? Any ideas on what to do? :( :( :(

That's a tad dramatic.

OP, if you don't mind, a clean install might do it well. That just seems like a bad chunk of software.

You mean, back up everything into iCloud and re-install the phone? What I did was basically just boot up the phone w/ my old phone's settings...I wanted to keep all the texts / history =X does a clean reinstall get rid of all that? Sorry for the stupid questions, I am not so tech savvy >.<

When I move to a new device I typically start fresh. I would try a factory reset and set the device up clean if it’s giving you trouble. No problems from a clean set up here.

Important stuff such as contacts should be in the cloud. It’ll mostly mean loosing any previously used apps, but yes, you’ll lose your text history also.

Exactly this. I always start new for the same rare problems you’re having, OP. Text messages and data from apps that don’t facilitate the cloud will be lost, but it’s a small cost for an experience you bought the phone for.

The cloud has your back on everything else.

Apple will have to issue you a warranty device. However, it's just my opinion, but never expect a perfect iPhone. The reality is, most iPhone displays are not going to be perfect one way or the other.
