I cannot get my work outlook email work on IPhone X (iSO11.1.1)
It shows "Account ERROR. Cannot get mail. The connection to the server failed"

talked to my company IT guy, he thinks the IOS needs to be fixes.
Talked to IPhone technique support guy, the says Microsoft needs to update outlook to support the new IPhone.

:(

My IPhone 6, 7 had no issue at all. I use my phone for work.

Any one else have the same issue?
Any recommendation?

it is exchange email account.
outlook app don't work
Have you tried reinstalling the app? Have you tried the Mail app instead? Does it matter what WiFi network you are on or if you are on cellular?

I was getting this consistently and only got it to work by NOT having it sync all mail, and limiting it to the last 30 days or whatever the next step down is.

I had to delete my office365 account on the iPhone after upgrading to 11.1.1.
Office365 uses the Exchange profile on the iPhone.

Once I deleted the account and then recreated it, it worked fine.

It took forever to delete the account though.

I tried all these. Still not working.
I also tried WIFI and cellular.

My colleague's Iphone X has no issue on email. His is T-Mobile.
My is verison. Not sure whether this is the reason.

If your colleague is able to connect to your company email over WiFi, I would suspect it has nothing to do with a Verizon or T-Mobile issue.

Unless you have set the settings differently somewhere on your phone than your colleague, it would seem like there is something different about the way your company’s IT set up your email on the server.
