I'm curious as to how smoothly, or not, the ordering was for those who had done the preapproval for existing IUP participants. Super fast and simple for the 8 Plus, how was it for the X?

I got in at 12:07 the IUP was done within 10secs lol the pre-approval is so good. 11/3 delivery.

That's great to hear. This year they made it really easy to upgrade to my 8+ so I was hoping it would be just as easy for you guys ordering the X. My concern was how the larger volume would affect the ordering but it seems most had a good experience.

App finally opened at 12:05. Opened straight to the Complete your Order page. 3 clicks and about 10 secs later I had it done and a Nov 3 delivery date. Other than the app being late, it was super easy.

Well if it worked this well with the enormous amount of order volume the X had then next years upgrade should be a breeze! I'm very happy for all of you and I'm looking forward to upgrading again next year!

I had trouble getting in. First the Apple Store App didn't show it was ready for a good . I want to say it took me 15-20 mins and then I kept getting errors to complete the process. By the time my order was complete I was at 2-3 weeks shipping :(

Wish I had the same success stories you did. I'm on the West Coast and the app went live around 12:06 for me. I'd already done the pre approval and gotten confirmation beforehand, so when I loaded up the app it went straight to the checkout page. It then loaded the "Choose Delivery" method, and I opted for the home delivery, which was a button that said 'Nov 3'. Gave it a tap and I got the order number and everything. Thought all was well. I wake up and see my confirmation email came in an hour or two after the order had been submitted, however with a 2-3 week delivery aimed for Nov 17-26.

Had I known it had slipped or the button hadn't shouted "Nov 3" to me I would have opted to pick up in store, as I will be moving in a few weeks and am concerned about being able to change the delivery address on the order (it's not currently letting me). It really blows, and not really sure how to approach this beyond canceling the order, and putting one in for the 5-6 week delivery window Apple is currently estimating at my soon-to-be new address :/
