I have an iPhone X on T-mobile. I'm in a group chat with five others. Three of them also have iPhone X’s (on Verizon). When sending MMS the iPhone users (and I think the Pixel user too) are receiving extremely low res Blurry images and videos that are totally illegible. I mean like 100x100 barely discernible shapes poor.

iMessage is on. The "Low quality image mode" is set to "off". Why is this happening and how do I resolve it?

Does this happen on cellular and wifi? Does this happen when other uses try to send the same type of media? You could try restoring.

Yes it happens on both cell and wifi. It seems to mostly affect gifs. It also happens in individual messages with the Pixel user (had him confirm)
