I have had this issue for about SIX MONTHS and wanted to see what people had to say here. My iPhone X was actually replaced by my local Apple Store last week, and now this issue happened again today.

BOTTOM LINE: I can listen to music via Bluetooth to my AirPods and my Sony MDR-XB950N1 headphones. When I attempt to make a phone call or accept a phone call, my phone "tries" to route the call to the headset or AirPods...then defaults to the iPhone. This happens around 70% of the time.

Things I have tried to solve this issue with no correction (some of them worked for a week or two...and then went straight back to the above issue):
  • Powered off
  • Reset
  • Hard Reset
  • Restored phone to factory...then restored to a backup
  • Restored phone to factory...then setup as new phone and re-downloaded apps
  • Turned off wifi calling
  • Turned off just about every other radio
The ONLY thing that seems to work (sometimes) is to put my Apple Watch (Series 3) into airplane mode...and it works about 80% of the time.

Honestly, this has just been ridiculous. What happened to Apple products "just working"? Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I've had multiple cases with support online. Like I said earlier, I went to a local Genius Bar TWICE last Friday and they swapped out my phone. Today, everything happened again. I will say it tends to happen in my office at work mostly.

I have my MacBook Pro and iPad Pro on the desk in my office, but I'm not always sitting at my desk and it happens other places as well.

I have three Trackr devices connected to track items (like Tile devices). I'm at a loss. I should be able to make and receive phone calls on my iPhone via Bluetooth...but...well, yeah.

Like I said earlier...any suggestions would be appreciated if you have any. Thanks for reading.
