Don't want it unless an option. Have no desire to use a stylus on a smartphone. Understand some may have a need though----

I often see people with a galaxy note write or sketch and I think mmm that's cool. I suspect that I'd get very bored of it very quickly, BUT given that apple already have the pencil tech working on an ipad, it surely cant be hard to add it to the iphone for those people who want/need it. So I'm all for it being an option... and I'm sure I'll love it for the 2 weeks I use it ;-)

I think it's cool but not something I see myself using. It really should be something you can do on the smaller model as well if you want. Apple still tries too much to dictate what we can and can't do on a certain model.

As long as it’s an option and not included in the phone, I don’t mind. I’m unlikely to use it and don’t want the extra bulk and weight on the phone.

They won’t include it with the iPhone, they would only increase the cost of the iPhone itself. It would be a optional accessory, because they know every consumer is _not_ going to be interested in purchasing some form of an Apple Pencil for the iPhone. Just like it is for the iPad with the Apple Pencil, that’s also a separate purchase.

I tried taking notes in meetings with the stylus that came with my Note 8 but gave up. Even with the large screen, its a bit too small to comfortably write more than a few words. Some people use it quite often though.

I don't miss it on my iPhone X.

I use one on Note, for tapping clicking, typing, very useful. Barely ever for notes or sketches.

Doesn’t have to cost $99 like Apple Pencil - which won’t work well in Numbers, thinks I want to draw rather than accurate touch for entering numbers in spreadsheets. So I resort to Excel.

It needs to be better than iPad Pro has been as well as that Surface Pro and W10.

Steve Jobs will be rolling in his grave if they bring a stylus to iPhone. I can careless either way, it won’t make or break my purchase decision, & I would bet there are a lot of people that would love the addition of a stylus.

Who wants a stylus? You have to get em and put em away, and you lose em. Yuck. Nobody wants a stylus

I have pencil for my iPad and never use it. Don't need it for an iPhone.

From Kuo's last note, it seems that none of the 3 new iPhone will support the Apple Pencil.

Just a sidenote: All these links that you keep providing throughout these iPhone threads, most members know what the front page article states for the latest iPhone news, not that you can’t list them, just pointing out the obvious. And the only reason I am replying, was because you linked the same article twice in two different threads.

No problem, I just linked them because the news was not discussed yet.
I just read it on Facebook and I posted it.
That’s it :)

I always have the Pencil in my purse. I always have my X with me. I don't always have my iPP12 with me.

I look at the X and the Pencil yet I have to reach for my Adonit Pro? Why?
