Hi,

I’m Spanish. I’m going to travel to New York in December. I want to place pre-order for iphone X and send it to a friend in NY. I don’t want carrier contract, but SIM-FREE iphone X isn’t available. So, my only option is to buy TMobile version because I can add to bag in apple store online.

I’m going to pay in full. So, iphone X will be unlocked. Can I use it in spain?

Also, Apple says:

I’m going to have to activate the iPhone with TMobile? or I can put my carrier sim of Vodafone-Spain and activate it normally? (because the iphone is Unlocked) Will I have to hire a Tmobile plane?

IPhone X model of TMobile does not have CDMA. Would it affect me in spain? This model is worst than CDMA model?

Thanks for your help.

Since Spain and Europe are GSM you should be fine. CDMA is used in the US and Asia. The T-Mobile phone is the world phone so you should be able to activate it with your carrier sim.

Thanks.
My question is if I can activate it because apple says: “if you selected an iPhone for TMobile, it will come with the appropiate nano-sim, but you’ll need to contact TMobile or visit an Apple store to activate you phone”

You can use it, but..... you won't have legal warranty. When you have a phone from the USA, you will need to hand it in to an Apple Store in USA when you need warranty. European warranty is different from American warranty, which means you will only have your hopes up on a happy Apple-employee. Should you find one that had a bad night, you'll be stuck with your faulty iPhone X by then.
