Edit (final): Problem solved! I restarted the Mac and shut down the phone and restarted. The sync then worked like a charm.

I just set up my new iPhone 10 and restored from my old iPhone 7 backup. However when iTunes attempted to sync photos I get the following after a few minutes:

"iTunes cannot sync photos to the iPhone “iPhone” because your Photos Library is not yet available. Please try again later."

I have Photos open too. Any thoughts on how to solve this??

Note: I do not use iCloud photo storage. Everything is local on my Mac.

Thanks!
