I have recently bought iPhone X and noticed that the screen doesn't rotate when screen orientation is changed. It works from Portrait -> LandScape however when I try to rotate it 180 degrees in Portrait mode, the screen display stays reversed.
Coming from iPhone 6, I remember using apps like Maps in any orientation and screen used to adjust.

Any idea ???

PS: I have the checked the control center and don't have any lock enabled.

Many apps including Safari only have three orientations on the iPhone, as far as I know, this has been the case for many years probably since the first iPhone. I think this is good when you sleep sideways on the bed and want to view stuff in landscape mode.

Of course, some other apps support all 4 orientations.

As per Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, iPhone X doesn’t support upside-down portrait mode.

Most likely because the home bar follows the orientation of the phone (stays at the bottom) and there won't be any room if the phone is upside down due to the notch
