My phone died and as soon as I plugged it in, it came back on and the screen looked like this. I’ve tried resetting and updating the phone, but I’m guessing this is hardware issue.

Anyone else ever had a problem like this? Will a screen replacement fix this?

I'll bet the battery is swelling causing damage to the display... What's the age and battery health/capacity showing

I agree with other poster.
This is probably a battery swell. I would not carry that phone in my pocket

This is probably a battery swell. I would not carry that phone in my pocket. Deep discharge caused this. Is phone hot? Install a app to see the battery voltage. I bet your voltage is higher than specs

On a oled monitor a pink screen would be a cable issue. So the battery must be pressing against the ribbon or circuitry.
