Hi there,

My dad has two three dots on his screen, anyone any idea what this might be? He has a case that covers his whole phone and he's very careful while using it. I can feel it with my nails some kind of, like there's something with the glass.

Have you tried removing those dots? I would suggest very lightly damp microfiber cloth and see if they can be removed that way first.

In the middle of the screen there are two dots. The rest is dust. Very hard to take a picture. I did try removing it with a microfiber cloth but didn’t work. Weird...

Perhaps something came in contact with the screen or rubbed up against it, causing it to have “Pitting”. If it’s not being removed with microfiber cloth, it’s likely permanent. You could have a Genius look inspect it at an Apple store as well.

Thank you both for your reply. I’m sure they are not scratches. But something is on the screen which can’t be removed. :) I do see this for the first time. I will take a look again and otherwise make an appointment at Genius!

Looks like Dead pixels. Never seen one on a mobile. Either way it can’t be unseen once seen. Exchange.

Curios can you see them when viewing pictures or video?

The screen is off (stand by). Then dead pixels are invisible right? You can see it when the phone is on but I think the problem is on the glass since I can feel it a little bit with a toothpick (very gently).

Yea, unlikely dead pixel then. It might be defective glass. Bummer.
