My iPhone X from Verizon recently shipped out via FedEx and I was able to get the tracking number. However, while the scheduled delivery says November 3rd, the package is shipped using overnight shipping. Is it possible that it will come sooner than expected? Btw it shipped from Pennsylvania and is only going to Ohio.

I got this same Fed ex shipping update from verizon as well.

What does indirect signature mean?

I thought iPhone X was being shipped using UPS? Or is it both UPS or FedEx?

It's highly unlikely. We always get reports of one or two slipping through, but it's likely that they'll hold it in your local depot until they're able to release on Friday.

Is it the same process for holding a shipment at a hub for both companies without negative effect on the delivery date?

It depends. If you pre-ordered from Apple.com, they always use UPS since they are directly coming from China. Most carrier (i.e Verizon, ATT) uses Fedex. Usually after pre-order dies down then Apple uses Fedex for any orders.

Not even in your dreams.

I'm completely confused how someone was able to see the "FedEx Standard Overnight" text that blends in rather discreetly in the corner of the screen instead of the "Per shipper instructions, package will not be delivered until scheduled the delivery date."

Let me see if I understand this...

Per shipper instructions, package will be delivered before scheduled the delivery date?

What some people end up actually focusing on is three words:

"package be delivered"

They are in denial about the rest of the words surrounding it. :p

You can hold it at the hub without delaying the delivery date.

If you have it held at something like a UPS Store, it could delay when you get the package.
