Hey

Today I’ve noticed that the power button of my iPhone X is kind of loose. Also it doesn’t make that usual ‘click’ noise when I press it. Tho the button works fine.

Should I get that replaced now or is it better to wait until almost end of the warranty so I will get a refurb device? Also I’ve Apple Care Protection Plan on my device, so I can basically ask for Expressreplacement, can’t I?

I wouldn't wait for a warranty device. If you feel it's an issue, I would make a Genius appointment and have Apple look at it. If they think it's defective, they can issue a replacement in store. The express replacement is something you can also take advantage of and then you ship your device back, assumingly they can replicate the issue noted with your device.

I see. The thing is that I’m a student and work aswell, and yea I live where the nearest Apple Store is not very well rated. And the one after that is like 100km (+60km to that one) away. When I went there telling them about my speaker issues they were like “we can’t find anything about that issue, never heard of that sorry”. Although a friend of mine works in an Apple Store and he told me that they have some internal sheets where it has been acknowledged. So yea that’s why I purchased Apple Care Protection Plan. To avoid that store.
What would happen if I ask for Express replacement and they’re in the opinion that there’s nothing? I mean, from the picture you can barely see that it’s loose and pressed in. Tho with your fingernail you’d be able to notice that

I’m in a similar situation. My volume up button is more sunken in than the volume down. It also doesn’t click like the volume down button but it still works as it’s supposed to. Not sure if I should just keep using it or take it to Apple.

Unless your really far from an Apple Store like OP, you should book an appointment and take it Apple Asap.

AppleCare won’t help you with defects. It would still be under warranty

If you're device is less than 2 weeks old they should just replace it with another new device. No Apple care needed.

The device is from 3.11. also yea it’s older than 2 weeks. Also I mean Apple Care Protection PLAN, Not Apple Care Protection PLUS.
I just did it for Express replacement tho
