Pondering whether I should update to iOS 13.1.2 from 13.1. On iPhone X. Have a lot of the bugs been fixed and if it’s a stable enough firmware to update to. Also has the battery been more stable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think there’s no reason not to update to 13.1.2 since some of the biggest bugs from 13.1 have been ironed out here.

My advice is update but do it over iTunes and not OTA. I updated from 13.1 to 13.1.2 OTA and it broke my personal hotspot, my tablet just wouldn’t get a working internet connection from it no matter what I tried, and I tried every trick advised online from various sources. After reinstalling 13.1.2 again on iTunes then loading my iCloud backup it works fine again.

I hardly ever had issues with updates. BUT 13.1.2 broke things that were working properly. I have a mid-2012 MacBook Pro Retina 15", iPhone X and iPad Air 2. all updated to lates iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS (Mojave). Handoff no longer works, I can't see the tabs on safari between devices, loosing connection to Wifi randomly, on iPhone and iPad and occasionally AppleTV and MacBook Pro.

Totally crashed my Kevo app for my smart lock, which is an iPhone app. Later today, I will start looking for answers. I have tried logging out of iCloud from ALL devices. Restarting all devices, logging to iCloud from each device and that crappy two-factor authorization, which is a "feature" I hate since it has never worked as seamless as advertised.

I have seen all advertised Beta Testing, so I'm extremely disappointed on all the bugs. Especially when things worked in 13.1.1 and then crapped out on 13.1.2.

I am experiencing a bug on my iPhone XS Max on iOS 13.1.2 whereby when I switch the phone on from having been off overnight, I notice that mobile data is enabled when I know for certain that it was not on when I last used the phone, having only been using my home WiFi. I see ‘4G’ at the top and so open Settings to switch it off. I am trying to obtain more detail on this because it doesn’t appear to occur every time I switch on which is baffling but it has certainly happened on four occasions to-date when I know mobile data was not on when switching phone off. So far, I have not seen anyone else mention this so I am fairly certain that it’s something specific to my iPhone model. I will naturally post again should I learn more.

Im still iffy, hell im still on 12.4.1 which is not that great anymore, I see lag when typing things out or swapping between apps.

I updated from 12.0 to 12.1.4, and my battery started draining faster. I skipped 13 and 13.1, but my battery issue started becoming pretty annoying. So finally I caved and updated to 13.1.2. Battery issue got better, but now I'm having a couple of annoying issues.

1. Randomly, I sometimes won't get any notifications when I receive text messages. I would get a banner on my lock screen, but the ringer and vibrate doesn't go off (I have it set to ring and vibrate for text messages). And sometimes, I don't even get a notification on lock screen, or a badge on the Messages app icon. But the new text message would be there. Again this is random, from any one in my contacts. Pretty annoying, especially when you are waiting on an important text.

2. Sometimes, when reviewing a video in Photos, I would get a black screen. I would then have to close Photos and relaunch. As well, when it comes to Photos, orientation gets mucked up. When viewing a landscape pic, it gets cut off like it was in portrait view. You have to turn you phone to portrait view, then back to landscape for it to correct.

I found 13.1.1 to be better than 13.1.2 The .2 hot fix seemed to have caused massive issues with Bluetooth for me that I was not experiencing in 13.1.1. Funny enough .2’s notes states it fixes Bluetooth. Ugh
