So for the past few months at least that I have noticed apps such as Snapchat, Tinder, mostly anything really warm my phone up a bit, not really noticeable in my hand but when pressed against my face or top of my hand I notice it. Can only really notice it though if case is off?

Does this happen to anyone else???

Happened on iOS 11 and 12, tried a restore, had gotten a new X and same thing.

Am I just being paranoid or is this normal?

Social media apps do a lot in the background and eat a lot of the battery and your phone will get warm. When working, the only way you device can shed heat is through the outside phone surface.
