iPhone X with 11.2 screen flicker/icon flicker

Has anyone else had this issue? This happens on any screen and while in apps. I did a quick video of it acting up while opening google earth. This happens non stop on my phone. Wondering if anyone else has noticed the icons flickering or random spaces on the phone getting lines flickering.

Looks just like what a failing GPU would look like on a computer.

Restore with iTunes and set up as new. If you still have that flickering then it looks like bad hardware and you should ask for a replacement.

I did a restore last night same issue. I may have to roll back and see if it still happens.. Apple won't help since its on a beta and I have my backup from my IP7+ on the beta so can't get my info back.

Oh I forgot you were on 11.2. Could just be a bug then. Only way to tell is to try 11.1

That’s pretty bad. Haven’t seen flickers like that, but definitely entire screen flickers on my 7 that are definitely software related. Out of curiousity, have you tried using a static background to see if it first does this? ie not a dynamic wallpaper and keep perspective zoom off.

Tried that last night. It still flickered. Does it when there is a lot running in the background also still does the same thing with google earth and other apps like WAZE. On the IPX i don't think you can change the perspective like you can on the plus so don't see that as an option.

thanks didn't notice that before. Tried it but doesn't change the flickering in certain apps so not sure if it fixed the flickering icons but i still get random lines and flickering when using apps like imessage and others.

Dang. I would try rolling back to 11.1 and see if there’s any change. Should help rule out hardware.

yah going to give that a go when I am back home. can't do that while traveling this week

Just downgraded to 11.1.. Screen flicker is worse. So going to assume its hardware. time to make an appt with apple.

Just got back from the apple store. They deemed my issue hardware related and they swapped out the phone. Haven't seen any issue yet but still need to restore my data..
