Hi everyone,

A couple of hours ago, out of nowhere, my iPhone X became glitchy. I was on a messenger chat and the screen sorta glitched for a couple of seconds and then turned off. I unlocked it and the display was dimming and then brightening. I thought it would be solved by a quick restart but before I could do anything the phone turned off. Ever since then it has not turned back on.

However, when I plug it into a power source and charges, the 'charging sound' can be heard, similarly when I stop charging it. When I hold one volume button + power button I can hear the emergency alarm.

I have tried the method where you press the lower volume button, then the increase button and then hold the power button method but nothing is working. I have also waited a long period of time to repeat the process and it still is the same. I have also tried removing the sim and attempting to turn it on but again, nothing different. Thinking that I was overusing the phone, I let it cool down until it was cold and tried the methods above, nothing worked.

Itunes wont display my device either, and I've tried it on two different laptops.

I have no idea what is wrong with my phone as it has not been near water and it was perfectly fine prior to this event. If anyone has experienced this or know of a solution, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Also, this iPhone X is just over 1 year old.

You need to press volume up button first, then volume down, followed by holding the side/power button until the Apple logo appears.

That's strange. Does iTunes recognize that your phone is plugged in? If not, then the battery is dead.
