My Iphone X would only show 2% charge and does not get any more charge, battery supposedly healthy. Tried several chargers including wireless. I tried hard reset. I suppose there could be water damage from using during rain. Its under standard warranty but would Apple honor if it is indeed moisture issue but phone was never submerged?

Water damage is NOT covered under standard warranty.

But it might not be that and then you’ll either get a new battery or a new phone. Take it to the apple store and let them diagnose.

iphone x has ip67 rating, so what makes you think that there is water damage from rain?

Maybe he thinks his model has a defect and because of it moisture got in. Question is will Apple replace it because of the defect or reject it because of "water damage".

I checked water sensor in sim compartment, does not look red. Anything I can try to troubleshoot before going to Apple?
