Other iPhone X/XS/XR as a Secondary Phone / entertainment device, like the iPad

This is a small minority but.. is any one out there who uses iPhone X/XS/XR as a secondary phone (not as a primary daily driver), or merely as a tech gadget for entertainment (sort of like iPad)? What do you use as the primary phone and why?

I guess the only question is why you would need to do this. Why can't you use your daily driver for entertainment?
